We at Warren Manufacturing, Inc. are proud to formally announce our association with Transport Equipment Engineering (TEE) based in Johannesburg , South Africa . TEE has been the leading manufacturer of steel bulk feed trailers in South Africa for over 30 years. TEE Managing Director Peter Hoeben knew the future of bulk feed transportation equipment in South Africa involved offering an aluminum alternative to their proven steel design. Not wanting to reinvent the wheel so-to-speak, Peter knew there were several American manufacturers of aluminum feed trailers with whom he wanted to visit and possibly formalize a trade agreement. Peter made the trip to the International Poultry Show in Atlanta in January of 2004, visited several manufacturers, and made the decision to partner with Warren Manufacturing through a licensing agreement. TEE subsequently invested in new jigs, fixtures and employee training and is now fabricating aluminum feed trailers in Johannesburg using the Warren design and assembly-line manufacturing technology. As in the U.S. , payload is king in South Africa , and the new TEE/Warren aluminum trailer will allow a gain of almost 2 tons over their steel trailers! Warren’s Vice-President & General Manager, Jack Lyle, was in attendance for the product launch held at the TEE factory in Johannesburg on February 22, 2005 . TEE’s initial order for seven aluminum feed trailers came from one of the leading animal feed manufacturers in South Africa – Epol. There were numerous attendees from within the animal feed industry in South Africa along with government officials and representatives from industry trade publications. Epol’s Managing Director, Chris van Niekerk, graciously accepted framed photographs of the new trailers fr om Peter Hoeben and gave an impromptu narrative on the history of bulk feed delivery in South Africa. Epol was the very first company in South Africa to deliver bulk feed mechani | | |
